Privacy Policy

CatMemo respects your privacy. This policy explains what data the App handles, how it is used, and how you can manage or delete it.

1. Data the App Handles

• Content you create: little notes, tasks, reminders, private notes, completion state, and related times.
• Preferences: language, appearance, cat theme, canvas, app icon, notifications, iCloud, and privacy feature settings.
• Permissions and status: notification and alarm authorization, biometric availability, iCloud availability, and StoreKit membership entitlement status. The App does not receive your Face ID or Touch ID biometric templates.

2. Where Data Is Stored

Content is stored on your device by default using Apple’s local storage frameworks. The current version does not upload record contents to a developer-operated server and does not integrate advertising SDKs or third-party behavioral analytics SDKs.

If the current version offers independent iCloud sync and you enable it, Apple’s services sync relevant data to your private iCloud space. The developer cannot directly browse your private iCloud data. Apple’s terms and privacy policy also govern iCloud processing.

3. Private Notes and Biometrics

You can restrict access to private notes with an in-app PIN and on-device biometrics. iOS performs biometric authentication on the device; the App receives only a success or failure result. This is local access control and does not mean the records use separate end-to-end encryption.

4. Reminders and Notifications

The App schedules local notifications or system alarms only after you grant permission. The system processes reminder content according to the schedule. You can disable these features and permissions in the App or iOS Settings at any time.

5. Purchase Information

If membership products are enabled, Apple processes purchases through the App Store and StoreKit. The App can read product information and verified entitlement status to unlock features and restore purchases, but it does not receive your full card number or Apple ID password.

6. Email and External Links

Send Email opens your mail app. Only information you choose to write and send is delivered to the recipient; lists and private notes are not attached automatically. When you use sharing, rating, or another external link, that service may process data under its own policy.

7. Data Sharing

We do not sell your data or use record contents for advertising. Information is handled by Apple or a third party you choose only when you actively use iCloud, the App Store, email, or an external link. If future versions introduce new collection or third-party services, this policy and App Store privacy information will be updated before those features are enabled.

8. Retention, Deletion, and Permission Withdrawal

Local data remains until you delete or clear it in the App or uninstall the App. Copies in system backups or iCloud may not be removed automatically when the App is uninstalled. If you use iCloud, deleting records while sync is enabled can synchronize deletion to other devices; you can also manage relevant data in Apple ID and iCloud settings on iOS.

You can withdraw notification, alarm, biometric, or iCloud permissions in iOS Settings and manage subscriptions through Apple ID. Because the current version has no developer account system or developer server, the developer generally cannot retrieve or delete local or private iCloud content for you. If you voluntarily sent personal information by email and want it deleted, contact the address below.

9. Security

We use iOS sandboxing, storage, permissions, biometric authentication, and StoreKit verification. No storage method can guarantee absolute security, so protect your device, passcode, and Apple ID.
