Terms of Use

Welcome to CatMemo (the “App”). By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to these Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy.

1. Service

The App helps you record little notes, tasks, reminders, and private notes; calculate elapsed calendar days; manage completion; and, at your choice, use notifications, badges, cat themes, canvases, app icons, and iCloud sync. Some features depend on iOS, iCloud, the App Store, connectivity, and device permissions. Availability is determined by the current version and Apple’s services.

2. Local Data and Your Device

Records and preferences are stored on your device by default. You are responsible for protecting your device, Apple ID, iCloud account, and in-app PIN. Device loss, account compromise, system failure, disabled sync, or deletion may result in data loss. Keep separate backups of important information.

3. VIP Membership and Purchases

The App may offer monthly, annual, and lifetime membership. Monthly and annual plans are auto-renewable subscriptions; lifetime membership is a one-time purchase. Features unlocked by each plan are those shown on the purchase page at that time. The actual currency, price, taxes, trial eligibility, and billing terms shown on the App Store confirmation sheet control; explanatory or fallback prices in the App do not replace Apple’s confirmation.

4. Free Trials, Renewal, and Cancellation

A free trial applies only when the App Store confirmation sheet expressly offers it to an eligible user. When a trial ends, the subscription renews automatically at the price shown there unless you cancel through Apple ID subscription management. Apple handles subscription management, cancellation, and refunds under its rules. Deleting the App does not cancel a subscription. Lifetime membership does not renew.

5. Restore Purchases and Entitlements

Restore Purchases can reload eligible active entitlements associated with the same Apple ID. Membership status is determined by App Store transactions verified through StoreKit. Network, account, or App Store issues may temporarily prevent entitlement refresh.

6. Reminders, iCloud, and Third-Party Services

Reminders, badges, sounds, and alarms may be affected by system settings, Focus, power, connectivity, or device state and are not guaranteed to arrive on time. If the current version offers iCloud sync and you enable it, Apple stores the data in your private iCloud space. Mail, iCloud, and the App Store are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

7. Acceptable Use

Do not use the App unlawfully, infringe others’ rights, undermine software or system security, or attack, reverse exploit, redistribute, or commercially use the App without permission.

8. Disclaimer

The App is provided “as is” and “as available” and is not medical, legal, financial, or other professional advice. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the author is not liable for indirect loss, lost data, or lost expected profits arising from use or inability to use the App.

9. Changes

Features may be updated, suspended, or discontinued for improvement, compatibility, security, or compliance. These terms may also be updated with an app release. Material changes will be described through an update or in-app notice.

10. Intellectual Property

Except for third-party materials, rights in the App’s interface, name, cat characters, graphics, text, and code belong to the author.

11. Governing Law and Contact

Except where mandatory local consumer protections require otherwise, these terms are governed by the laws of the People’s Republic of China. Disputes should first be addressed through good-faith discussion. For questions or deletion requests, use the email button below.
